10 times Frankie Gaw put an Asian spin on American culinary classics

Frankie Gaw is a Taiwanese American product designer turned food writer, recipe developer, and cookbook author. Perhaps better known as Little Fat Boy, Frankie’s food journey was inspired by his grandmother. “Little Fat Boy started as just me going to my grandma's house and trying to learn the recipes I loved growing up, and making them into my own,” he says on his website. “I started to photograph the food which slowly turned into a dream to share recipes that showed how beautiful Taiwanese food can be.”

As part of his ongoing series, Frankie takes American culinary classics and puts his own Asian spin on them. Some of his most popular recipes include Twunkies (Twinkies) and Asian Lunchables. Watch some of his incredible work below with recipe links included when available.
