Kerry Washington interviews Daniel Dae Kim and her followers react after seeing Daniel for the first time

Kerry Washington invited Daniel Dae Kim on to her YouTube series, Street You Grew Up On, to share his childhood story. “Today’s guest on Street You Grew Up On is one of my favorite people in the biz. His career is so inspiring. He has given us dynamic, powerful performances, on stage, and television, and film. His production company, 3AD, is putting work [and] narrative out into the world that is truly making the world a better place,” says Washington.

Kerry and Daniel shared a beautiful and candid conversation about diversity, race, community, family, career, and culture. At one point, Kerry even asks Daniel for his mother’s kimchi recipe.

After the episode was published, many of Kerry’s followers and subscribers reacted to seeing Daniel Dae Kim for the very first time.
