Michelle Yeoh and Ken Jeong to receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced its Walk of Fame Class of 2024 and Michelle Yeoh and Ken Jeong are set to receive their stars.
Michelle Yeoh started her career as a ballet dancer but later pivoted to acting after a spinal injury prevented her from becoming a professional dancer. Michelle has established herself as one of the greatest actors of our generation and has recently won many prestigious awards including a Golden Globe (Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy), Screen Actors Guild Award (Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role), and Academy Award (Best Actress).
Ken Jeong simultaneously pursued careers in medicine and entertainment while in college. Post-graduation, Ken practiced medicine as a physician while also working as a comedian and actor before pivoting to entertainment full time. East West Players, the nation’s longest-running professional theatre of color and the largest producing organization of Asian Pacific American artistic work, honored Ken with the Visionary Award in 2017.
Dates have not yet been set for star ceremonies and recipients have two years to schedule their ceremony from the date of selection.
