Nicole Scherzinger, who is of Filipino, Native Hawaiian, and Ukrainian descent, just won Best Actress in a Musical at the 2024 Olivier Awards for her performance as Norma Desmond in the reprisal of @sunsetblvdmusical. The Olivier Awards are recognized as the highest honor in British theater and considered to be the equivalent of Broadway’s Tony Awards.

‘Sunset Boulevard’ went on to win a total of 7 Olivier Awards, including Best Actress, Best Actor, and Best Musical Revival.

Most people know Nicole as the lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls, and perhaps as the winner of the tenth season of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ but her talent is so much bigger than one thing, and now American fans will get the chance to see her award-winning performance when ‘Sunset Boulevard’ comes to Broadway this fall.
