Kern and Ventura county search and rescue teams are searching for 73-year-old Gab Song who has been missing in the Mount Pinos area since Tuesday. Song is an experienced hiker and outdoorsman but was not adequately prepared for the winter storm that hit southern California. Officials say they estimated 6 to 8 inches of snow on the ground during their search. Song is from Torrance (Los Angeles County) and is the father of Mike Song, a co-founder of the popular dance group, The Kinjaz.

"Once we knew that his phone was off, we just kept calling and by the time it was 10 p.m., started getting worried - really worried... Definitely a feeling of crazy urgency, knowing that the temperatures are going to be in the teens," said Mike Song.

Gab Song is 5 feet 9 inches tall with high blood pressure.

Anyone with information should call the Kern County Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110.
