South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol grabbed a mic and sang the Don Mclean classic “American Pie” to an astonished audience at the White House state dinner.

South Korea's President, Yoon Suk Yeol, stole the show at the White House state dinner by singing "American Pie.”
“We know this is one of your favorite songs, “American Pie,”” President Biden said to President Yoon.
“Yes, that’s true. When I was going to school, it was one of my favorite songs,” President Yoon replied.
“Well, we wanna hear you sing it,” President Biden said.
President Yoon then took the mic and wowed the crowd by singing a capella. His performance was met with a standing ovation and an eruption of cheers.
President Biden then presented President Yoon the signed guitar of Don McLean, the singer and songwriter of “American Pie.”
“The next state dinner we’re gonna have, you’re looking at the entertainment,” President Biden said, pointing to President Yoon.
President Yoon is here in the United States on a six-day visit at a time that commemorates the 70th anniversary of the alliance between the U.S. and South Korea.
