Tequila Don Julio 1942 launches its first-ever global cultural collaboration with Peggy Gou

Tequila Don Julio 1942 has just launched its first-ever global cultural collaboration with internationally-acclaimed DJ and fashion icon, Peggy Gou. Peggy is of Korean descent and is known for her club anthems like “(It Goes Like) Nanana,” “Starry Night,” and “It Makes You Forget (Itgehane).”

Together, the legendary tequila brand and musician have launched Don Julio 194구 (구 is pronounced “Gou”), a limited-edition bottle available worldwide. The collaboration blends Peggy’s daring artistic style with Don Julio’s signature craftsmanship.

The Don Julio 194구 limited-edition bottle showcases a striking mint green design that merges Peggy Gou’s signature aesthetic with Don Julio’s iconic shape, inspired by the blue weber agave plant. It features a sleek reflective chrome cap, complete with a custom jewel-toned purple box adorned with hand-drawn illustrations reflecting Peggy’s tattoos and Don Julio González’s signature hat. Adding a personal touch, hidden details inside the box include a surprise drawing and a message from Peggy herself.

“I am very, very honored to be the first collaborator with 1942,” Peggy said at a launch party in New York City. “As an artist and as the first Korean, it means a lot to me, so thank you so much!” Peggy then raised a glass of Don Julio 194구 to cheers in Korean, “Geonbae (건배)!”

The limited-edition bottle is now available for purchase globally in more than 30 countries, including the U.S., Dubai, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Great Britain, and Italy.
