Meet Maddie Mendoza, the 2023 Gerber Baby and Chief Growing Officer!

Maddie is from Colorado and her parents describe her as playful, outgoing, and adventurous.

Crystal and Jun, Maddie’s parents, are high school sweethearts and have been together for 22 years. Both Crystal and Jun are first-generation Filipino Americans, and both of their fathers served in the US Navy. Crystal is a dentist and Jun is a Lieutenant Colonel physician in the Air Force.

For the first time ever, Gerber also asked parents to submit photos of themselves as babies. Maddie, at 9 months old, bears a striking resemblance to her mother at 13 months old.

Maddie and her family were awarded $25,000, a year’s supply of Gerber products, and a new wardrobe provided by Gerber Childrenswear. Gerber is also donating $25,000 to March of Dimes’ maternal and mental health programs and a donation to Operation Homefront, which supports military families.
