Lisa of Blackpink shares her favorite part of filming The White Lotus (spoiler: it’s the Thai food)

Thai rapper and singer Lisa of the meteoric K-pop group Blackpink is ELLE magazine’s September cover star. In her cover story, Lisa talks about her new solo projects, her new management company, and perhaps most exciting, her acting debut.

Lisa is set to star in the third season of HBO’s hit drama, The White Lotus. It’s been confirmed that the third season is set in Thailand and it’s been filmed in parts of Bangkok, Phuket, and Koh Samui.

In her interview with ELLE, Lisa was tight-lipped when it came to questions about her role in the show — unable to reveal if her character would be singing or dancing. But she does seem to be happy with the portrayal of her home country, saying, “I feel like people are going to fall in love with Thailand even more.”

To accompany her ELLE September cover story, Lisa filmed an Ask Me Anything video and she was asked about her favorite experience while filming The White Lotus. “The best thing is having traditional, good Thai food every single meal,” she said.
