Man who fatally stabbed 35-year-old Christina Yuna Lee just pleaded guilty to murder and burglary charges

On February 13, 2022 35-year-old Christina Yuna Lee was fatally stabbed inside her Chinatown, New York City apartment. According to court documents, and as admitted to in the defendant’s guilty plea, Ms. Lee entered her apartment around 4:20a near Grand Street and Chrystie Street. Ms. Lee was followed into her apartment and up six flights of stairs before a man pushed his way inside her apartment, attempted to sexually assault her, and then murdered her by stabbing her more than 40 times.

The defendant, Assamad Nash, pleaded guilty to one count of Murder in the Second Degree and one count of Burglary in the First Degree as a Sexually Motivated Felony, on June 18, 2024. 

According to the Manhattan DA, Nash is expected to be sentenced on July 30, 2024 to a promised sentence of 30 years-to-life in state prison.
