Sandra Oh recalls the time she walked away from her final ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ audition

In this interview from 2000, Sandra recalls telling the casting team she wanted to audition for Cristina, instead. She also explains why she walked away from the final audition.
“The point being is I was practicing asking for what I wanted, and I was willing to walk away from it,” Sandra said. “That was definitely, for me, a changing point where I can say for points in my career when I’ve made an active decision. I’m only going to audition for parts that are essential to the plot.”
