Watch as 3-year-old Barron Cheng plays the piano with a live orchestra

“Hello, my name is Barron. I have been learning the piano since 2-years-old,” Barron says. “I will be performing with the orchestra today. I’m so happy!” Above, the child prodigy performs Catherine Rollin’s “Love Theme” with a full orchestra at Hong Kong City Hall.

“Barron has a genuine love for music and an innate gift of perfect pitch,” says Shirley Lo, the concert pianist who Barron studies under. “He is a sport enthusiast with a passion for swimming and ice skating, and he also enjoys reading books and playing video games.”

In response to one viewer, Shirley said, “Me and his parents are taking care of Barron’s development in a healthy way. He is having a balanced life.”
