Team USA advances to the team final at the 2024 Paris Olympics;Simone Biles and Suni Lee make history
🇺🇸 Team USA has advanced to the women’s gymnastics team final at the Paris Olympics. With a score of 172.296, Team USA earned the highest score in their subdivision and of all teams reported so far, including Italy (166.861) and China (166.628) rounding out the top three.
Simone Biles has the top all-around score with 59.566.
Suni Lee has the second highest all-around score with 56.132.
Shoutout to Jordan Chiles who earned an impressive all-around score of 56.065, placing her in third on the leaderboard. Due to the two-per-country rule, she cannot participate in the individual all-around finals.
According to NBC News, Simone and Suni make history as this will be the first time that two Olympic all-around champions will go head-to-head in the all-around final — both being from Team USA. Simone was the all-around champion at the 2016 Rio Olympics and Suni was the all-around champion at the most recent Tokyo Olympics.
